Strengthening Account Security: MFA Required for Chrometa Team Admins

Keeping customer data secure is one of our highest priorities. As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening account protection, we’re introducing an important security update for Chrometa users.

Beginning in mid-2026, all users with Team Admin roles who sign in to Chrometa will be required to use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Why This Change Matters

Team Admin accounts hold elevated permissions, including the ability to manage users, settings, and sensitive account information. These accounts are especially important to protect. MFA adds an additional verification step beyond a password, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access — even if login credentials are compromised.

By requiring MFA for Team Admins, we’re aligning with security best practices and helping organizations better safeguard their data and operations.

Who Is Affected

This update applies specifically to:

  • Users assigned the Team Admin role
  • Accessing Chrometa through standard login

If you’re a Team Admin, you’ll need to have MFA enabled on your account before the enforcement date.

How We’ll Communicate

We want to ensure a smooth transition. Chrometa will notify affected customers well in advance through multiple channels, including:

  • In-app notifications
  • Email communications
  • Help center documentation and updates

These communications will include setup instructions, timelines, and guidance to help Team Admins enable MFA without disruption.

Looking Ahead

This change is part of a broader effort to enhance security across the Chrometa platform. We plan to expand MFA requirements to additional roles and use cases in the future. While there are no specific timelines to share yet, we’ll continue to communicate transparently as plans develop.

What You Can Do Now

If you’re a Team Admin, we recommend enabling MFA ahead of the requirement to ensure uninterrupted access. Early adoption helps your organization stay protected and avoids last-minute changes.

Security is a shared responsibility, and we appreciate your partnership as we continue to improve protections across the platform.
