Sometimes, you might need to run a program in the background without it showing up on your screen or taskbar. This can be useful for background tasks, scripts, or applications you don't need to interact with directly. Below is the easiest method you can use to achieve this.

  1. Open Task Scheduler:

    • Press Win + S to open the search bar.
    • Type "Task Scheduler" and press Enter.
  2. Create a Basic Task:

    • In the Task Scheduler window, click on "Create Basic Task" on the right side.
    • Name your task and add a description if you want. Click "Next."
  3. Trigger the Task:

    • Choose when you want the task to start (e.g., daily, weekly, one time). Click "Next" and set the schedule according to your preference.
  4. Action Settings:

    • Select "Start a program" and click "Next."
  5. Select the Program:

    • Click "Browse" and find the executable file (.exe) of the program you want to run.
    • After selecting the program, click "Next."
  6. Complete the Task:

    • Review your settings and click "Finish."
  7. Edit the Task for Hidden Mode:

    • In the Task Scheduler Library, find your newly created task.
    • Right-click on it and select "Properties."
    • Go to the "General" tab and check "Run with highest privileges."
    • In the "Conditions" tab, uncheck "Start the task only if the computer is on AC power."
    • In the "Settings" tab, check "Allow task to be run on demand."
    • Click "OK" to save the changes.
  8. Run the Task:

    • Right-click on your task and select "Run." The program should now run in hidden mode.
