Badge Installation Instructions

Which email client do you use?

1. I use Microsoft Outlook
2. I use another email client/service (Hotmail, Thunderbird, Gmail...)

Instructions for Microsoft Outlook

1. Save your badge image to your desktop. (right click > Save Image As...)

2. In Outlook, go to Tools > Options.

3. Select the Mail Format tab, and click on Signatures...

4. Pick the spot where you want to place the badge, then click on the Insert Image button.

5. Go to the location where you saved the badge in Step 1, and select the image. Then click Insert.

6. Now the image should be in your signature. Now, select the badge image, and click on the Insert Hyperlink button.

7. Near the bottom of the pop-up, in the Address field, enter "http://www.chrometa.com" (without quotes). This will point your clients to a page where they can read about Honest Billing, and what the badge means for them. When done, click OK.

8. You're all set. Click OK to exit the dialog window and the Options window. Go on, show off your brand-new Badge in your email signature!

Instructions for other email clients/services

1. Save your badge image to your desktop. (right click > Save Image As...)

2. Follow the methods documented for your email client to add/edit an HTML email signature.

Yahoo Mail users: instructions on adding a web image to your signature

Hotmail users: instructions on creating a custom email signature

Gmail users: by default, Gmail does not let you insert images or HTML in your signature. However, you can overcome this limitation by downloading the Blank Canvas Gmail Signatures Firefox extension

Thunderbird users: instructions on creating custom email signatures

3. Hyperlink to your badge image to http://www.chrometa.com, and you're done.
